Every basket ships flat to keep it out of a bigger box. Open it, pull the sides apart, fluff it up and run your hand around the rim. With no lid holding the top, the rim is what keeps the shape — so give it a proper roll outward on the first go.

It comes out pressed flat. That is on purpose — it keeps the shipping box small.

The rim is the structure.

With no lid to hold the top, the mouth stays open because the rope is thick enough to hold itself — double-woven, 10 mm thick, rolled and stitched back on itself at the edge. It weighs variant.weight empty, and the box it arrives in weighs about the same. No wire ring, no cardboard, no plastic liner.

24 inches tall, 17 across — narrower than the laundry basket but nearly as deep, and with the whole mouth open you can drop things in without folding them first. It takes throws, cushions and a week of towels without being packed.
