1 · The rope
Thick cotton rope, spun for weaving rather than for tying.
2 · The weave
Double-woven by hand, coil on coil. That is what lets it hold its shape without a frame, a wire ring or a liner — the structure is the rope.
3 · The fold
Pressed flat so it ships in a small box rather than a large one. This is the honest reason it needs fluffing when it lands, and we would rather say it here than surprise you.
4 · Your hands
Pull the sides apart, fluff it up, run your hand around the rim, set it down. About a minute, and it stays that shape.
